EarthFresh Farms’ CEO Tom Hughes has announced the acquisition of Colorado-based Mountain King Potatoes, effective September 25, 2024.
Established in 1963, EarthFresh is a North American company specializing in potatoes, carrots, and onions. With headquarters in Burlington, Ontario, EarthFresh Farms now operates nine cutting-edge packing facilities across Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.
“By joining forces, we see great opportunities for synergies, including exclusive potato varieties, innovative packaging, expanded organic options, customer analytics, and a broader supply of fresh potatoes,” says Tom Hughes. The combined team, consisting of over 400 employees, will be dedicated to serving customers.
With the addition of new packing locations, EarthFresh will be able to deliver to North America within 24 hours. The company will continue to offer Mountain King’s well-known brands such as Steakhouse Russets, BuZer Golds, BuZer Reds, and BuZer Russets.
